ANGER is name of ancient Norman origin. It arrived in England with the Norman conquest
The Anger family lived in the area of Angers, France
Besides Bishopstone and Little Hinton the Anger's are also found in Shrivenham, Watchfield and Ashbury Berks
It would appear that the Anger/Angel(l) surname combination commonly intertwined, but don't know why
